2. Making a Contract with Us

2.1 When you place an order with us, you are making an offer to buy products. We will send you an email to confirm that we have received your order.

2.2 Once we have reviewed your order and full payment has been approved, a contract is formed between us.

2.3 In the unlikely event that the ordered products are no longer available, or that we have made a pricing mistake, we will advise you of this. Your order may be cancelled by us and a full refund issued at our discretion, at which point our contract will be terminated.

2.4 Images of products on this website are for illustrative purposes only. Your products may vary slightly from the image shown on the website and will not include any of the pictured accessories, unless stated in the specification of the product. Whilst products may be shown assembled they may require assembly by you.

2.5 We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products that appear on this website. However, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any colour will accurately reflect the colour of the physical product.

2.6 Whilst we try to be as accurate as possible, all information provided is approximate and is provided in good faith.

2.7 This contract is covered by English law.

2.8 By placing an order with us, you agree to and accept these terms and conditions, as well as our privacy policy. You are also accepting that you are 18+ years of age (see section 9.1).

2.9 Our contract ends once your order has been delivered and accepted at your stated delivery address.

2.10 Our contract is terminated once a cancellation or return has been requested and a refund has been issued less any fees that may apply in accordance with section 5 (all) of our terms and conditions.

2.11 In placing an order through our website, you agree to the conditions of our ‘Closures’ section (see section 17).

3. How to Place an Order

3.1 You can use our website to place an order by selecting the product you wish to buy and adding it to your basket. Products you do not require can be removed from your basket at any time prior to placing an order.

3.2 Shipping costs and estimated shipping lead times are available to you from within the website prior to placing your order. More information can be found on our Shipping page.

3.3 You will be required to pay for your order in full at the time of placing your order through our website.

3.4 We use Stripe for payment, analytics, and other business services. Stripe collects identifying information about the devices that connect to its services. Stripe uses this information to operate and improve the services it provides to us, including for fraud detection. You can learn more about Stripe and read its privacy policy at https://stripe.com/privacy.

3.5 We use Stripe’s secure payment facilities to process all purchases made through this website. All processed payments meet Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) requirements, inclusive of 3D Secure checks when applicable.

3.6 This website is capable of accepting digital payments made using: Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Apple Pay.

3.7 Promotional prices only apply during the period stated.

3.8 All prices quoted on our website are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include Value Added Tax (VAT) at the current rate.

3.9 Once your order status has been updated to ‘Shipped’, changes may not be possible or may incur additional charges or delays.

3.10 We will send you your unique order tracking number/s in a separate email no later than 2 working days after updating your order status to ‘Shipped’.

3.11 We reserve the right to cancel an order at any point during our contract.

3.12 We have the right to change the price of a product at any time if the price displayed on our website is incorrect. If this change arises after a purchase has been made, the order will be cancelled and the full payment returned. We will then contact you to explain why this has occurred and you will then be asked to make the purchase again at the correct price.

4. Shipping / Delivery Charges

4.1 Any estimated shipping time (delivery lead time) provided throughout this website is an estimate, which can change without notice. We provide this information in good faith.

4.2 Orders can take up to 7 working days to be delivered after being dispatched.

4.3 Your order may arrive as more than one delivery, with or without without prior notice being given to you.

4.4 As the contract holder, you must be present to sign for all deliveries at the requested delivery address regardless of any comments left during the ordering process or the delivery address provided.

4.5 We will deliver your order contents to the billing address you specify on your order, unless a separate delivery address has been provided.

4.6 If damaged, incorrect or incomplete products have been delivered, or if products are missing from a delivery, we will rectify the issue as quickly as possible in conjunction with section 8 (all) and section 16.2 of our terms and conditions.

4.7 We will not accept responsibility for loss or damage if you instruct your chosen couriers to leave the products unattended via the ‘Order notes (optional)’ section provided on our checkout page. All comments added to that section are passed directly on to the relevant couriers to assist in the delivery of your order.

4.8 You may be required to assist the driver in offloading your order.

4.9 Disposal of packing materials is your responsibility.

4.10 If you are not present when a courier attempts to deliver your order, your order may incur additional fees.

4.11 If you need to change the delivery address after your order has been dispatched to you, we reserve the right to pass on any extra charges made by our couriers for redirecting your delivery.

4.12 Please check all of the products included in your order on delivery – any products found to be missing or damaged should be notified to the delivery driver at the time of delivery and marked on the delivery drivers paperwork prior to signing for the products as delivered.

4.13 If products are damaged during the shipping process, you must let us know within 14 days of your delivery date. Further details can be found under the ‘Damages Procedure’ section on our Order Amendments, Cancellations, Returns and Damages page.

4.14 Deliveries are made to the ground floor only and on the condition that there is reasonable access for the safe and prompt delivery of your order. You should inform us about any special delivery requirements or conditions when you place your order, via the ‘Order notes (optional)’ section on our checkout page. Failure to do this may result in the courier refusing to attempt the delivery and/or subsequent additional charges.

4.15 Sometimes, for reasons beyond our control, we may be prevented from delivering your order as planned. This might include things such as accidents, breakdowns, fire, floods, storms, severe weather, disease, pandemics, acts of god, war, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage or the default of our partners. We will try to put things right as soon as possible however we won’t be held responsible where this causes a delay or failure in delivering your order.

4.16 Requesting a set delivery date or time via the ‘Order notes (optional)’ section during the ordering process will have no influence on the lead time of an order.

4.17 All lead times provided across the website are an estimate – We cannot guarantee any delivery dates or times.

4.18 Delivery and product dispatch may encounter delays over the Christmas period (December – January) as well as bank holidays and national holidays. All orders may be affected during these times and we will not be held responsible for any delays during these periods.

4.19 Although we will always try to pass on any comments left in the ‘Order notes (optional)’ section of our checkout process, which are intended for the courier driver (such as a request for a call prior to delivery), we cannot guarantee that these messages will always be passed on, nor that they will be acknowledged when they are.

4.20 We will not be held responsible for delays to orders that may come as a result of insufficient stock levels. All delivery lead times provided on this website are estimates only and should not be taken as guaranteed as delays may occur.

4.21 We will notify customers of any courier based delays that we are informed of however in situations where we are not notified of any delays, we will not be held responsible for the extended lead time.

4.22 If you believe your order may be experiencing a delay, you are welcome to contact us at any time to request the status of your order.

4.23 If an incorrect delivery address is provided, delays and additional charges may occur.

4.24 If an order is placed after our cut-off time of 13:00 GMT (as stated throughout this website), the order will not be processed until the next working day.

4.25 In some circumstances, a postage cost may be displayed on a shipping label which does not match with the shipping charge paid against the order. Our shipping calculators are extremely complex systems and therefore, shipping prices quoted and paid through our website may differ from those we are charged by our couriers. We will not compensate any difference between these two figures should they differ.

5. Cancellation and Returns

5.1 Orders placed by customers are subject to The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 and The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

5.2 This policy does not apply to the following products, which are exempt from the right to cancel or return: Any products which have been used/installed and are not in the original condition at the time of their despatch or special order/customised products.

5.3 You can cancel your contract with us at any time up to 14 days from the day the contract is entered into. To do this, please e-mail, write or call us to receive further instructions on how to progress with your cancellation or return. Further details can be found in this section (all of section 5) of our terms and conditions or on our Order Amendments, Cancellations, Returns and Damages page.

5.4 We reserve the right to refuse returns notified to us after 14 days of the day of delivery.

5.5 If a cancellation or return request is approved, you must email [email protected] with your Umbrella Trading order number, which can be found in your order confirmation email, included on your Invoice, or via the orders page on this website. Failure to do this will delay both processes indefinitely. We also optionally ask you to provide us with a brief explanation as to why the return is being made – This feedback is then used by us to help improve our overall customer service.

5.6 Upon approval of a return, you will be sent the relevant returns form which must be completed in full and returned to [email protected].

5.7 Once a completed returns form has been approved by Umbrella Trading, you will be sent our returns address.

5.8 You must return the products to the correct returns address within 14 days of a successful returns form application, complete with suitable packaging, at your own expense. You must ensure that the products are packaged adequately to protect against damage. You may be charged for any damage that may occur during the return transit.

5.9 If a product is returned in a condition that would mean it could not be re-sold, we reserve the right to decline a refund. This term only applies if the condition the product is returned in is as a result of the customer’s actions. Our Cancellation and Returns policy does not affect your legal rights – for example, if products are faulty or mis-described.

5.10 Completed copies of the returns form must be clearly included inside of each of the returning boxes. Failure to do this will delay the returns process indefinitely.

5.11 Once a return arrives with Umbrella Trading, the returned products are checked over and either approved or denied eligibility for the requested refund; based on the condition of the products. Delays to this process may occur if returned boxes are affected by section 5.9 of our terms and conditions.

5.12 If a refund is approved by Umbrella Trading, the refund will be issued within 14 days of the returned product/s being received by us.

5.13 If a refund is declined, the customer will be contacted immediately and provided with a full explanation as to why along with all of the available resolutions.

5.14 Once a refund has been approved and processed, a confirmation email will be sent to the customer stating their initial order number and the value of the refund amount given. The email also has an attached Credit Note and an amended Invoice which reflects the changes made against the original order.

5.15 All delivery costs are non-refundable if the products have already been dispatched or delivered.

5.16 Refunds will not be issued for any products returned to us without prior arrangement. Any products that are returned to us without warning are subject to additional charges.

5.17 Product exchange is only available for damaged products. If you are wanting to change your order after dispatch you will need to return the initial order and place a second order for the desired products.

5.18 Products returned to us prior to the completion and approval (by us) of ‘Stage 1’ and ‘Stage 2’ of our ‘Returns Procedure’ (found on our Order Amendments, Cancellations, Returns and Damages page under the section ‘Returns Procedure:’) are not eligible for a refund and are be subject to additional charges.

5.19 Once a refund has been issued, it can take up to 10 working days for funds to appear back in your bank account.

6. Faulty Products / Guarantees

6.1 If there is a problem with the delivered products, please contact us within 14 days. We will deal with the matter in accordance with your legal rights.

6.2 All products listed on this website with the condition ‘New’ are covered by the corresponding manufacturer’s warranty (when applicable) against faulty workmanship and materials, subject to the terms and conditions of that warranty.

6.3 If a product exchange is necessary, this will be arranged by us without unreasonable delay but may result in additional charges to you, usually to cover the additional delivery costs. Replacement products may not be dispatched until the original products have been received by us and inspected.

6.4 If a product is no longer available we will offer you an alternative, however our liability is to replace the faulty products only and we are unable to guarantee an exact match. You will also be given the option of a refund or cancellation as alternatives.

6.5 Where we replace faulty products, you are responsible for disposal where the faulty products had not been returned to us.

6.7 We are unable to replace any products that have been damaged as a result of human error after the delivery has been successfully made.


7.1 This section covers all prices throughout this website and any prices provided digitally or in writing by any employee at Umbrella Trading Limited.

7.2 All prices disclosed on our website and/or quotes are subject to change at our own discretion.

7.3 Quotes will be deleted by us after 7 days if no further communication is made by you in response.

7.4 All quotes are valid for a maximum of 7 days.

8. Liability

8.1 The products sold on this website have been designed to comply with all relevant UK legislation. We cannot warrant or represent that they comply with any legal requirement outside of the UK.

8.2 We do not accept liability for any consequential loss of profit or indirect losses to individuals or businesses.

8.3 In the unlikely event that we give you an incorrect estimated delivery lead time or fail to deliver a complete order to your stated delivery address by way of human error by either our staff, the staff of our manufacturers/suppliers or the staff of third party courier companies, we accept no liability for any consequential loss of profit or indirect losses.

8.4 We will not issue any compensation for wasted time, labour or human errors.

8.5 We will not be held responsible for any loss, delays or damage to orders sent outside of our standard delivery coverage (UK Mainland). This service is only available by request prior to placing an order.

8.6 We will not be held responsible for any damage, loss or injuries caused as a result of the actions of those using products purchased through this website.

8.7 We offer no monetary compensation for any incorrect products that have been delivered, however we will do everything in our power to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

8.8 We offer no monetary compensation for incorrect help or advice offered by our employees. Although our sales team are able to offer customers product advice and recommendations, we cannot always guarantee that these are correct or accurate and all information is provided in good faith.

8.9 It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure they are ordering the correct product/s and we accept no responsibility for any incorrectly ordered product/s or product/s that are subsequently not fit for purpose.

8.10 We hold no responsibility and offer no monetary compensation for any damage that occurs to product/s during the installation process.

8.11 We will not be held responsible for any issues that arise as a result of visiting our website. All third party websites this website links out to are liable for their own respective content.

8.12 We accept no responsibility for orders that become lost or go missing during the shipping process when being handled by our couriers as this is out of our control. We will do everything in our power to help locate lost or missing orders as quickly as possible once we have been notified of any issues by the relevant courier or customer.

9. Age Restrictions

9.1 In accepting our terms and conditions, you are confirming that you are 18 years of age or over.

9.2 If required for age clarification purposes on age restricted products, we may ask for one or more of the following methods of identification at any stage of the ordering process: Personal ID, Passport or Driving License. In rare circumstances, we may ask for the original documentation should the provided copies be unidentifiable.

9.3 Age restricted products must be used responsibly and appropriately.

11.2 When using this website you shall not post or send to or from this website any material for which you have not obtained all necessary consents, is discriminatory, obscene, pornographic, defamatory, liable to incite racial hatred, in breach of confidentiality or privacy, which may cause annoyance or inconvenience to others, which encourages or constitutes conduct that would be deemed a criminal offence, give rise to a civil liability, or otherwise is contrary to the law in the United Kingdom;

12. Uptime

12.1 We take all reasonable steps to ensure that this website and all related services (email and phone) are available 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, however these services do occasionally encounter downtime due to server and other technical issues. Because of this, we will not be liable if this website and any linked services (including email and phone) are unavailable at any time.

13. Links to and from other Websites

13.1 Any links to third party websites located on this website are provided for your convenience only. We have not reviewed each third party website and have no responsibility for such third party websites or their content.

13.2 If you would like to link to this website, you may only do so on the basis that you link to, but do not replicate, any page on this website and you do not in any way imply that we are endorsing any services or products unless specifically agreed with us beforehand.

13.3 If you choose to link to our website in breach of section 13.2 of these terms and conditions, you shall fully indemnify us for any loss or damage suffered as a result of your actions.

13.4 You must not negatively impact on our SEO. Failure to do this will result in our permission of the relevant link/s being revoked – Should this request be ignored by you, we will seek legal action to rectify the issue.

14. Exclusion of Liability

14.1 We take all reasonable steps to ensure that the information on this website is correct, however we cannot guarantee the correctness or completeness of material on this website.

14.2 Neither we, nor any other party (whether or not involved in producing, maintaining or delivering this website), shall be liable or responsible for any kind of loss or damage that may result to you or a third party as a result of your or their use of our website. 16. Genuine Product Guarantee

16.1 All products listed with a condition of ‘New’ on this website state which manufacturer has produced them and the product you will receive on delivery will match this.

16.2 In the event a mistake is made and an incorrect product is delivered, we will do everything in our power to correct the problem in accordance with our terms and conditions.

16.3 If you require proof of authenticity from us for a particular product, we can provide a letter of authenticity on headed paper from the appropriate manufacturer, at your request.

17. Closures

17.1 Information regarding our planned closures can be found on our Operating Status page.

17.2 We reserve the right to temporarily close (emergency closure / unplanned closure) at any given time.

17.3 We will give a minimum of 24 hours notice on the website for all planned closures.

17.4 We will not be held responsible nor compensate any customers for any additional delays, loss of time or loss of money during a period of planned closure.

17.5 It is the responsibility of our customers to read and agree to the information found on our Operating Status page (see section 17.1) prior to placing an order through this website.

18. Collections

18.1 We offer three separate shipping methods (‘Collection’, ‘Oversized – Collection Only’ and ‘Hazardous – Collection Only’) which all require you to collect your order in person from our business premises.

18.2 Collections are by appointment only. We will not permit anyone to enter our premises without our prior written consent, regardless of whether you have any pre-existing orders with us.

18.3 If you have placed an order through our website and selected a ‘collection’ based shipping method, a member of our sales team will contact you within 48 working hours of your order being placed to arrange a suitable date and time at which you can collect your order from us.

18.4 If you have not placed an order with us but would like to visit us in person, please contact us to request this. Your request will either be accepted or declined within 48 working hours of you sending your initial request.

18.5 ‘Cash on Collection’ (payment method) orders will be held on our system for a maximum duration of 7 days after being placed. This is to avoid customers placing orders and subsequently not turning up to collect and pay.

18.6 We have the right to cancel a ‘Cash on Collection’ (payment method) order at any time, without prior notice. We also have the right to disable the ‘Cash on Collection’ (payment method) entirely from our website at any given time, without prior notice. This is to prevent the payment method being exploited or used in malicious ways.

19. Coupons

19.1 A single coupon code cannot be used in conjunction with any other coupon codes within a single order.

19.2 A maximum of one coupon code can be applied to an order prior to checkout.

19.3 Each coupon code is limited to a single use per user account.

19.4 We reserve the right to cancel or remove any or all coupon codes used by our website at any time without notice. This is usually only done if there are any issues with a particular coupon code or a group of coupon codes, but can occur for reasons other than this.

19.5 Anyone caught exploiting our coupon system will have their order/s cancelled and all future business will be refused. In addition to this, we may take steps to remove your account from our website and in extreme circumstances, block users from accessing our website entirely.

19.6 All coupon codes have an expiry date. Whilst we do everything we can to notify customers of each specific expiry date prior to its occurrence, unfortunately this is not always possible and expired coupon codes may be entered into our website – At which point an error message will be displayed; explaining that the coupon code has expired.

19.7 As a result of a portion of our social media posts being scheduled (semi-automated social network posting), there is a chance that coupon codes may be released after all the relevant stock has been sold. In this instance, we are unable to continue offering either the product or related coupon code, leading to their removal from our website.
