Description
These bespoke Adnams branded terracotta clay bread warmers are the perfect solution to keeping your bread warmer, for longer.
Clay, terracotta, ceramic and other forms of pottery have been used for hundreds of years to produce disk shaped products which when heated, would hold their heat for an extended period of time. Whilst they have been used to maintain heat in various foods and drinks over the years, the traditional bread warmer is one of the few instances where these old traditions have carried over into the 21st century with clay bread warmers still being used around the world on a daily basis.
The Adnams terracotta bread warmer was a special one-off order item produced by Suffolk Potteries at the request of Adnams of Southwold – The world renowned brewery located on the Suffolk coast. Because of the history behind these exclusive bread warmers, they cannot be bought anywhere else in the world and there were only a handful that were ever made at the same time as the 6 we have been able to get hold of. This truly is a unique piece of Suffolk history and still in a new and unused condition!
As the photos show, the instructions are simple. You place the bread warmer into the oven, heat it, then place it into your bread basket. That’s it!
